OZS Names New Executive Director
Dana McCrory, a
native of Oklahoma City
has recently been named as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Zoological
Society. As Executive Director, she is
responsible for the fundraising, administrative, fiscal and promotional efforts
of OZS. Dana has over 15 years of major
and transformational gift fundraising experience and comes to OZS from the
Lutheran High School Association of Greater Oklahoma City where she served as
Executive Director. Dana also spent nine
years with the Oklahoma State University Foundation first as a Development
Officer and then as an Associate Vice President of Development. Her special event experience includes
fundraising events for the American Red Cross, the Central Oklahoma Humane
Society and numerous community events.
Dana believes each philanthropic community has its own distinct
personality and welcomes the challenge in finding the most innovative
strategies to realize the Oklahoma Zoological Society's fundraising goals. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Oral
Communications and Public Relations. She
spends her Saturdays in Stillwater,
winter evenings at Gallagher-Iba Arena and cherishes spending time with her
family, which includes her husband Mac, son Ethan, 11, and a menagerie of
rescue animals.
